This training course provides an in-depth understanding of sexual harassment in the workplace, aiming to create a safer and more inclusive work environment. It is designed to comply with the requirements set by the New York State Human Rights Law and the New York City Human Rights Law, mandating annual sexual harassment prevention training for all employees.

Objectives:

  1. Understand Sexual Harassment: Recognize and define sexual harassment, including various types such as quid pro quo and hostile work environment.
  2. Identify Reporting Mechanisms: Learn about internal and external reporting mechanisms, including procedures for making a complaint and the roles of state and federal agencies.
  3. Promote a Respectful Workplace: Foster an inclusive and respectful workplace culture by understanding bystander intervention and the role of civility in preventing harassment.
  4. Know the Legal Framework: Understand the relevant federal, state, and local laws governing sexual harassment, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the New York State Human Rights Law, and the New York City Human Rights Law.
